If (f:\mathbb{R}\to[-1,1]), (f(x)=\frac{x}{\sqrt{1+x^2}}), why is it not onto?

Answer and explanation

Correct answer: Because (-1) and (1) are not images

Step 1: The value of (\frac{x}{\sqrt{1+x^2}}) remains greater than (-1) and less than (1). Step 2: For very large (x), the value approaches (1), but never becomes (1). Similarly, (-1) is not obtained. Step 3: Approaching a limiting value and attaining it are different ideas.
