Functions

In Class 12 Mathematics, the topic Functions develops the idea of a rule that assigns exactly one output to each element of a given set. As part of the chapter Relations and Functions, students learn to identify the domain, codomain and range, represent functions through mappings and graphs, and distinguish between one-one, many-one, into and onto functions. They also study composition of functions and the conditions under which an inverse function exists, building skills used in algebra, calculus and mathematical modelling.
