What is the SI unit of power of a lens?
Correct answer:सही उत्तर: A
The unit of power of a lens is dioptre (D). Since \(P = \frac{1}{f}\), where \(f\) is the focal length in metres, a lens with focal length 1 m has power 1 dioptre. Metre is the unit of focal length, not lens power. Exam tip: convert focal length into metres before using \(P = 1/f\).
