In an arithmetic progression (AP), if a₇ = 31 and a₁₉ = 103, what is the value of a₃₄?

There are 19 − 7 = 12 common differences between a₇ and a₁₉, so d = (103 − 31) ÷ 12 = 6. From a₁₉ to a₃₄ there are 34 − 19 = 15 steps; hence a₃₄ = 103 + 15 × 6 = 193.
