The Bolsheviks' peace policy was linked with which popular slogan?
Answer and explanation
The Bolsheviks used the popular slogan “Peace, Land and Bread.” ‘Peace’ reflected the demand of soldiers and ordinary people to end Russia’s participation in the First World War; ‘Land’ addressed peasants’ demands, and ‘Bread’ represented the needs of workers and the poor. Option B is the closest distractor, but ‘War’ is the opposite of the Bolshevik demand for peace. Exam tip: remember the link: soldiers–peace, peasants–land, workers–bread.
