Reflexive relation

In Class 12 Mathematics, under Relations and Functions, students study a reflexive relation as a relation R on a set A in which every element is related to itself: (a, a) ∈ R for every a ∈ A. They learn to verify this condition from ordered pairs, tables, matrices, and arrow diagrams, and to identify examples and non-examples. The topic also helps students distinguish reflexivity from other relation properties such as symmetry and transitivity.
