How may distant objects appear in mist?

Answer and explanation

Correct answer: Slightly unclear (थोड़ी अस्पष्ट)

Correct answer: A, slightly unclear. Mist consists of many tiny water droplets suspended near the ground. When light travels from a distant object to the observer, these droplets scatter some of the light and reduce contrast. The outline and details of the object therefore look hazy, especially at a distance. Mist generally reduces visibility less severely than dense fog, so the object may still be seen but not sharply. It does not normally make every object very bright and large, turn all objects completely black, or leave visibility unchanged. The effect depends on the amount of moisture, droplet concentration, lighting, and distance. Memory cue: light mist makes distant things look hazy; dense fog can hide them.
