Dignity, Equality and Respect

Dignity is the recognition that every learner has equal human worth and deserves respectful treatment. In physical education, this aim is expressed by valuing a student’s effort, identity, participation, and progress, not merely the final score or athletic ability. Option A is therefore correct because it protects the person and acknowledges meaningful effort. Option B is too narrow: winners may be congratulated, but losers must not be denied respect. Options C and D directly humiliate learners and contradict equality, inclusion, sportsmanship, and the moral purpose of education. Respect should remain consistent during success, failure, competition, and practice.
