Holistic and Lifelong Aims of Physical Education

The governing concept is the holistic and lifelong aim of physical education. At an advanced level, the subject is understood as more than drills, recreation, competition, or career selection. It develops physical competence and health, but also ethical values, social inclusion, reflection on experience, informed choices, and the confidence to remain active throughout life. Option A is therefore the strongest conclusion because it integrates the major dimensions instead of isolating one outcome. The word “together” is important because these aims reinforce one another.
