What was the importance of joining the Sangha in Buddhism?
Answer and explanation
Adopting a disciplined religious lifeअनुशासित धार्मिक जीवन अपनाना
The Buddhist Sangha was an organised community of monks and nuns who followed disciplinary rules, studied teachings and practised the religious path. Joining it meant entering a structured monastic life, not gaining political office or an economic occupation. Therefore, option A correctly describes its significance.
