If a student measures performance not only by winning but by improvement, effort and fair play, which aim is shown?
The governing concept is process-oriented, value-based performance. A holistic view recognises that improvement, sustained effort, learning, cooperation and fair play are meaningful outcomes even when a student does not win. Therefore option A is correct. Option B measures success only by results, while option C narrows physical education to appearance and option D reduces it to amusement. The broader approach supports motivation, ethical conduct and long-term personal growth rather than a single final score.
