Art Education
Sketching from life
Sketching from Life, part of Practical Art Work in Class 10 Art Education, introduces students to drawing directly from real people, objects, and surroundings rather than copying photographs or imagined forms. They learn to observe carefully, capture gesture and proportion, build simple forms with line, and show light, shade, texture, and spatial relationships. Through quick studies and sustained sketches, students develop hand–eye coordination, visual judgment, confidence, and the ability to record everyday experience with clarity and sensitivity.
