Abstract art introduces Class 10 students to the non-literal expression of ideas, emotions and experiences through visual elements rather than direct representation. In the Art Education chapter “Figurative and Abstract Composition,” students explore how lines, shapes, colours, textures, space, rhythm and balance can create meaning and mood. They learn to distinguish abstract work from figurative composition, observe how artists simplify or transform familiar forms, and develop their own compositions through experimentation, observation and thoughtful arrangement.
