Because the Nazi worldview ranked people according to a racist and exclusionary hierarchy, minorities were not treated as equal citizens. Jews, Roma and Sinti, people with disabilities, and other targeted groups faced propaganda, legal discrimination, segregation, surveillance, violence and, in many cases, systematic murder.
