Why was physical training given as much importance as studies in Nazi schools?

Answer and explanation

Correct answer: To make children war-ready and disciplined

Nazi schools were designed not only to provide academic knowledge but also to prepare children for the goals of the Nazi state. Physical training was emphasised because the regime wanted boys, especially, to become strong, obedient, disciplined, and capable of serving as soldiers. Exercise and organised activities could therefore support militarism and readiness for war rather than simply promoting health or recreation.

Option B is correct because physical training was used to make children disciplined and prepared for military service. The aim was not to turn them into independent artists, keep them away from politics, or make schools religious. In Nazi education, the body and mind were both trained to obey the state and support its nationalist and militarist objectives.
