Which example most clearly shows a migration-based effect on population change?
Answer and explanation
Workers moving to another state for jobsरोजगार के लिए मजदूरों का दूसरे राज्य में जाना
Direct answer: D, workers moving to another state for jobs. Population change is influenced by three broad processes: births, deaths and migration. Migration means the movement of people from one place to another. When workers leave their home state, the source region experiences out-migration; the state receiving them experiences in-migration. Birth rate, infant mortality and health services can affect population through birth or death-related processes, but they are not examples of people changing their place of residence. Therefore, option D directly shows migration and its effect on the population distribution of two regions. A is wrong because it describes more births. B is wrong because fewer infant deaths affect survival. C is wrong because better health services may reduce deaths but do not themselves show movement. Memory cue: migration always involves movement; in means entering and out means leaving.
