What did Margie hope when the County Inspector came?
Answer and explanation
The teacher would go away for some daysशिक्षक कुछ दिनों के लिए दूर जाएगा
The correct answer is B: Margie hoped that the mechanical teacher would be taken away for several days. She disliked the machine because it gave her frequent tests, assigned homework, and had recently presented excessively difficult Geography questions. The Inspector’s arrival made her imagine a short holiday from this demanding routine. She did not expect a new printed book, although she was curious about Tommy’s old book. She also had no reason to think Tommy would stop studying, and the visit was not connected with building an old school at home. Her hope reveals her dissatisfaction with impersonal, machine-controlled education.
