What is the action of leaving a user account called?
The governing concept is user-session management in an operating system. Selecting Log out ends the current user’s session and usually returns the computer to a sign-in screen, helping prevent another person from using that account. Copy duplicates data, Cut prepares it for moving, and Paste places copied or cut data elsewhere; none of these ends the account session.
