In which situation can a hibernation-like state be more suitable than Sleep?

Answer and explanation

Correct answer: When the current session must be preserved with very low power use for a long time

Hibernate saves the current session, including the working state of applications, to storage and then uses very little power because the computer can largely power off. It is therefore useful when the user will be away for a long time but wants to continue later. Sleep resumes faster but keeps more hardware powered. A restart, brief screen pause, or file deletion is not the purpose of hibernation.
