Why do two different blues produce different greens with the same yellow?

Answer and explanation

Correct answer: Their colour biases and absorption properties differ

The governing concept is pigment bias. Two blue paints may differ in the small amounts of red or green influence they contain and in the wavelengths they absorb. A green-biased blue mixed with yellow usually produces a cleaner, brighter green, while a reddish blue can introduce a complementary red influence and dull the mixture. Therefore option A is correct; the yellow has not randomly changed.
