The governing concept is interpretation as a meeting between the artwork and its audience. An artist provides choices such as colour, line, subject, arrangement, and symbols, but the viewer brings memories, culture, feelings, and prior knowledge. The emotional response can therefore complete or deepen the expressive communication, even though it may not be identical for every person. Option A states this interaction accurately. Option B is too absolute because viewers can interpret differently, option C makes an unnecessary claim about whether art exists, and option D wrongly demands one uniform response. Personal response should still be supported by visible evidence in the artwork.
