When can ambiguity through line be creative?

When incomplete or suggestive line lets the viewer complete meaning

The governing concept is purposeful ambiguity in visual communication. A line does not need to describe every edge completely; an incomplete, selective, or suggestive mark can invite the viewer to infer the missing form and participate in constructing meaning. Option A is correct because it combines partial information with an intentional invitation to complete the image. Creative ambiguity still depends on useful clues such as direction, rhythm, placement, proportion, or recognizable fragments. Option B describes accidental confusion, not a controlled artistic decision. C and D remove so much information that communication may fail entirely. Thus ambiguity becomes creative when it remains purposeful, perceptible, and open to interpretation.
