Calligraphy is connected with visual art because writing can be designed as an image as well as used to communicate language. The calligrapher consciously controls the form of letters, thickness and direction of lines, spacing, proportion, balance, rhythm, and overall arrangement. These visual decisions create beauty and guide the viewer’s attention. Option A correctly identifies this relationship between letterforms and visual composition. Option B refers mainly to dance, where bodily movement expresses ideas; option C describes architecture through structures and spatial planning; and option D describes music through sound and rhythm.
