What expressive effect can occur if a soft organic subject is drawn with hard geometric lines?

The governing concept is the relationship between line character and subject character. Soft organic subjects usually have irregular, flowing or gently varied contours, whereas hard geometric lines suggest rigidity, order and mechanical structure. Using the second kind of line for the first kind of subject can therefore create a mismatch: the subject may look unnatural, stiff or visually tense. An artist may also use that mismatch deliberately to express conflict, artificiality or stylisation. Option A is correct because it includes both the possible weakness and the intentional expressive effect. Option B is too absolute, and options C and D are wrong because the subject remains visible and line quality strongly affects interpretation.
