Distinction of depth and importance may weaken

The governing concept is visual hierarchy created through controlled line weight. In a convincing drawing, thicker or darker lines may emphasize a focal object, a nearer edge or an important contour, while lighter or thinner lines can suggest distance and subordinate details. If every object receives the same thick outline, all parts compete with equal force. The viewer loses useful information about depth, emphasis and spatial order, so the drawing may appear flattened or visually noisy. Option A is therefore correct. Option B is wrong because equal thickness cannot make every object look farther. Option C is an unjustified absolute, and option D is incorrect because unnecessary heavy outlines usually reduce, rather than improve, economy.
