In which condition will highlight on a form look wrong?

The highlight is brightest inside the shadow side away from the light source

The governing concept is consistency between highlight placement and the direction of the light source. A highlight is usually the brightest reflected or directly lit area on a surface, so it should appear on the part oriented toward the light. Option A places the strongest brightness deep inside the shadow side, away from the stated light direction, and therefore makes the form’s lighting logic look wrong. Option B is normally appropriate because the light-facing area receives the strongest illumination. Option C can also be correct when the material and surface curvature produce a small specular highlight. Option D is plausible because curved surfaces often show highlights that move gradually across their turning planes. A highlight must not be placed as an isolated decoration; its position should agree with the light, core shadow, reflected light, and cast shadow.
