Emphasis is weak

Emphasis is the design principle that makes the most important part of a composition attract attention first. In a poster, the main message should be easy to notice and read. Shape contrast helps create this effect: the message-bearing shape may differ clearly from surrounding shapes in size, outline, direction, or visual weight. If the shapes are too similar, the viewer may not know where to look, and the message will fail to stand out.

The described problem is therefore weak emphasis. It is not caused by the paper being thick, and excessive texture is not stated as the issue.
