If pencil lines remain visible through poster colour despite being light, what is a likely cause?

Answer and explanation

Correct answer: The paint layer was too thin or insufficiently opaque

Poster colour can cover drawing lines when it is applied with suitable opacity and an even, sufficiently thick layer. If the mixture is over-diluted, the brush carries too little pigment, or only one thin coat is applied, the pencil remains visible beneath it. B is therefore correct. Outline size, brush width, and the dryness of the paper do not by themselves explain inadequate coverage as directly as paint thickness and opacity do.
