A still drawing can suggest movement even though the paper itself does not move. Artists use the direction, length, curve, spacing, and repetition of lines to guide the viewer’s eye. Lines behind a running person can show the path or speed, curved lines around a turning object can suggest rotation, and repeated marks can make an action appear continuous. This is called implied movement.

For example, slanting lines behind a moving vehicle may indicate that it is travelling quickly, while repeated lines near a swinging arm can show repeated motion. The lines do not physically move the object; they provide visual clues about its action. Therefore option A is correct because directional or repeated lines communicate movement. A blank page, a paper fold, or erasing the object’s name does not by itself show the direction or action of the object.
