Even if the colour of a shape changes, what keeps its identity?

Its boundary and form

The identity of a shape mainly comes from its outline or boundary. The boundary separates the shape from the space around it and tells us about its contour, direction, and general form. If the colour changes but the outline stays the same, we can usually still recognise the shape. A red triangle and a blue triangle remain triangles because their boundaries have the same basic arrangement.

Option A is correct because boundary and outer form carry the shape’s visual identity. Sound and smell do not define a visible shape, and the frame size belongs to the surrounding presentation rather than to the shape itself. Colour can help recognition, but it is not the only or essential basis here. Changing colour may change mood or emphasis without changing the shape’s basic identity.
