In which year did the Cabinet Mission come to India?
Answer and explanation
Correct answer:
The Cabinet Mission came to India in 1946. Its members proposed a constitutional arrangement and a Constituent Assembly for transferring power from British rule to Indian leaders. The mission tried to keep India united through a federal plan, although political disagreements continued. Thus, 1946, not 1942, 1930 or 1919, is correct.
