पहले से जारी शेयरों की खरीद एक मौजूदा वित्तीय परिसंपत्ति के स्वामित्व का हस्तांतरण मात्र है। इससे वर्तमान वर्ष में किसी नई वस्तु या सेवा का उत्पादन नहीं होता, इसलिए इसे व्यय विधि से GDP में शामिल नहीं किया जाता। इसके विपरीत, नव-निर्मित फर्नीचर पर व्यय उपभोग व्यय है, सरकारी शिक्षकों का वेतन वर्तमान शैक्षिक सेवाओं पर सरकारी व्यय है और देश में उत्पादित वस्तुओं का निर्यात GDP में शामिल होता है। परीक्षा टिप: पुराने शेयरों, बॉण्डों तथा अन्य वित्तीय परिसंपत्तियों की खरीद को GDP में नहीं गिना जाता। / Buying previously issued shares only transfers ownership of an existing financial asset. It does not correspond to the production of a new good or service during the current year, so it is excluded from GDP measured by the expenditure method. In contrast, newly produced furniture is consumption expenditure, teachers’ salaries represent government expenditure on current educational services, and exports of domestically produced goods are included in GDP. Exam tip: purchases of old shares, bonds, and other financial assets are not counted in GDP.
