विधि (Method) किसी एक कार्य को करने का सर्वोत्तम या निर्धारित तरीका बताती है। इसमें उस कार्य से पहले और बाद के सभी क्रमबद्ध चरणों का विवरण आवश्यक नहीं होता। इसके विपरीत, कार्यविधि (Procedure) किसी कार्य को पूरा करने के लिए चरणों का निश्चित क्रम बताती है। परीक्षा टिप: ‘एक कार्य का तरीका’ दिखे तो विधि, जबकि ‘चरणों का क्रम’ दिखे तो कार्यविधि चुनें। / A method specifies the best or prescribed way of performing one particular task.
