Professional qualification is useful in management but why is it not a complete condition?

Answer and explanation

Correct answer: Because managers may be appointed on experience basis in many places

Direct answer: Option A is correct. A professional qualification can give a manager useful concepts, techniques and confidence, but it is not a complete condition for becoming a manager in every organisation. Many organisations also promote or appoint people because of practical experience, performance, leadership ability and knowledge of the business. Option A is correct because experience-based appointment is possible in management. Option B is wrong because education is not prohibited; management education is useful and widely available. Option C is wrong because training does occur through courses, workplace learning and development programmes. Option D is wrong because management clearly has specialised knowledge, including planning, organising, staffing, directing and controlling. The point is not that qualification has no value; the point is that a uniform compulsory qualification is not required everywhere. Memory cue: management values qualification, but experience can also open the route.
