What effect can adopting new technology have on a company's organisational structure?

Correct answer: Roles of some positions may change and new technical positions may emerge

The direct answer is A: roles of some positions may change and new technical positions may emerge. Organisational structure means the arrangement of jobs, authority, responsibilities, and communication in a company. New technology can automate some tasks, change how existing employees work, and create a need for specialists such as data analysts, software staff, or automation technicians. Therefore the company may redesign roles and add technical positions. Option A is correct because it describes a realistic organisational effect of technology. Option B, legal rights may end, is not an automatic result of adopting technology; rights depend on law and legal protection. Option C, all customers may become employees, is unrelated and is not a normal organisational consequence. Option D, the physical nature of goods may always end, is too extreme and false; technology may change production or delivery, but physical goods can remain physical. The reasoning is: new tools change work, changed work can change jobs, and changed jobs can change structure. Remember that “always” and “all” often make extreme options incorrect unless the question clearly supports them.
