At the dissolution of a partnership firm, what will happen if bank charges are recorded in the Realisation Account at an incorrect amount?

Answer and explanation

Correct answer: लाभ या हानि गलत निर्धारित होगी (Profit or loss will be misstated)

Bank charges incurred during dissolution are realisation expenses and are debited to the Realisation Account. If the amount is recorded incorrectly, the balance of the Realisation Account changes, causing the profit or loss on realisation to be misstated. It does not increase the value of assets or automatically increase partners’ capital. Exam tip: Debit every realisation expense to the Realisation Account and credit Bank.
