On dissolution of a partnership firm, at what value are assets other than cash/bank and fictitious assets transferred to the Realisation Account?

Answer and explanation

Correct answer: पुस्तकीय मूल्य पर (Book value)

At the time of dissolution, assets are debited to the Realisation Account at their book values, i.e., the values recorded in the books. The actual sale proceeds are credited separately to the Realisation Account; therefore, realised or market value is not used for transferring the assets. Exam tip: cash/bank balances and fictitious assets are generally not transferred to the Realisation Account.
