What is the full form of KGBV?
Answer and explanation
The direct answer is A: Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya. KGBV is an education programme and the abbreviation is formed from its Hindi/English name: K for Kasturba, G for Gandhi, B for Balika, and V for Vidyalaya. It is associated with residential schooling opportunities for girls, especially those who may face educational disadvantage. Option A is correct because it expands every letter accurately. Option B, Kendriya Gramin Bal Vikas, is not the official name and does not match the letters in the accepted expansion. Option C, Kanya Grih Bal Yojana, is also a made-up expansion and changes the words. Option D, Kaushal Gramin Vidyalaya, does not give the recognised full form. Do not confuse KGBV with a general skill or rural-development scheme. Memory cue: KGBV = Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, a name connected with girls’ education.
