Why can birth registration be useful in Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojana?

Correct answer: For identity and access to future services

The direct answer is A: birth registration helps provide identity and access to future services. Birth registration creates an official record of a child's birth, including basic identity information and date of birth. This record can later support admission to school, age-related documents, health services, welfare benefits and the protection of legal rights. The reasoning is: a registered child has recognised identity; recognised identity makes it easier to prove age and eligibility; this can improve access to public services and entitlements. Option A is correct because it states these practical benefits. Option B, closing schools, has no connection with the purpose of registration. Option C, increasing discrimination, is not a benefit and is contrary to equality. Option D, stopping education, is also contrary to the scheme; registration can instead support continuity of education. Birth registration by itself does not guarantee that every service will be received, but it is an important enabling document and helps the girl remain visible in official records. Therefore the wording 'can be useful' is suitable. Exam cue: registration means identity, age proof, rights and service access.
