Which Tamil Nadu leader received the Bharat Ratna posthumously in 1988?
Answer and explanation
M. G. Ramachandran (MGR) was awarded the Bharat Ratna posthumously in 1988. He was a popular Tamil film actor, politician, and leader of the AIADMK. K. Kamaraj is the closest distractor, but he received the Bharat Ratna in 1976. Exam tip: Remember MGR with Tamil cinema, AIADMK, and the 1988 Bharat Ratna.
