In which year was Ashoka Chakra Class I renamed Ashoka Chakra?
Answer and explanation
Correct answer:
Ashoka Chakra Class I was renamed Ashoka Chakra in 1967. It is India’s highest peacetime gallantry award. The year 1952 marks the institution of the Ashoka Chakra series of awards, not the renaming. Exam tip: Learn the institution year and renaming year of gallantry awards separately.
