In the Russian Revolution the Bolsheviks were linked with which ideology?
Answer and explanation
The Bolsheviks were a revolutionary socialist group led by Vladimir Lenin. They sought to overthrow the existing political and economic order in Russia and establish a system based on communist ideas, including collective control of production and political power in the name of workers. Their role was central to the October Revolution of 1917. Therefore option B, communism, is correct. Monarchy was the system associated with the tsarist government they opposed, while fascism and colonialism do not identify the Bolshevik ideology.
The answer should be understood as an ideological association, not as a claim that every later policy was simple or identical in all periods. In school history, the Bolsheviks are connected with Lenin, the Russian Revolution and the aim of creating a socialist society that developed toward communist rule. The word “Bolshevik” refers to the faction that gained power in 1917. Thus option B follows from their political programme and historical role, whereas the other options describe different systems or imperial practices.
