Kodaikanal Lake is located in which state?
Answer and explanation
Kodaikanal Lake is located in Tamil Nadu, in the hill station of Kodaikanal in the Palani Hills. The lake is a major tourist and geographical feature of this highland town, and it is commonly remembered with other hill lakes of southern India. The governing concept is location-based identification: the name of the lake reflects the hill station, which lies in Tamil Nadu’s Dindigul district. Karnataka and Kerala also contain important hill stations and lakes, so they are plausible distractors, but neither state contains Kodaikanal. Telangana has inland reservoirs and tanks but is not associated with this famous hill lake. Therefore, option A is correct.
