Bhojtal or Upper Lake is located in which city?
Answer and explanation
The correct answer is Bhopal, because Bhojtal, also called the Upper Lake, is located in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. It is an important artificial lake and forms part of Bhopal’s well-known lake system; the Lower Lake is another important water body in the same city. The question tests the geographical association between a notable Indian lake and its urban location. Indore is a major city of Madhya Pradesh but is not the city identified with Bhojtal. Jaipur is associated with Rajasthan’s lakes and historic water structures, while Ahmedabad is associated with lakes such as Kankaria. Therefore, option A is the only suitable answer.
