What does evidence-based answer mean in picture analysis?

Answer and explanation

Correct answer: Identifying visible visual elements and explaining their effect

Direct answer: A is correct. An evidence-based answer begins with something that can actually be observed in the picture and then explains what that feature does. A student might identify dark colours and explain that they create a serious mood, or notice diagonal lines and explain that they suggest movement. The evidence must be connected to the conclusion: do not merely list an element without explaining its effect. B is wrong because “I like it” or “I dislike it” gives a personal response but no visual proof; an opinion may be added, but it cannot replace evidence. C is wrong because the price of the paper is usually not visible and does not analyse the pictured artwork. D is wrong for the same reason: a brush brand cannot be established from the finished image and does not explain its visual effect. A strong answer follows this pattern: observe, name the element, describe its effect, and support the interpretation. Memory cue: evidence means “show me where you see it.”
