Velocity–time graphs
In Class 9 Science, within “Describing Motion Around Us,” students learn how velocity–time graphs represent an object’s motion over time. They practise reading axes, units, and plotted points; distinguish uniform, changing, and zero velocity; and interpret the slope as acceleration or deceleration. By finding the area under a graph, they connect graphical information with displacement and use these ideas to describe and compare everyday motion clearly.
