History
Nazism and the Rise of Hitler
In Class 9 History, this topic examines how the crisis in post–World War I Germany, the Treaty of Versailles, and weaknesses of the Weimar Republic created conditions for political unrest. Students trace Adolf Hitler’s rise through the Nazi Party, study Nazi ideology, propaganda, dictatorship, and the suppression of civil liberties, and understand how racism and antisemitism led to the persecution of Jews and other communities. The chapter encourages critical reflection on fascism, democracy, prejudice, and the human consequences of state violence.
